Being a Venetian, Nelly can offer a unique perspective on the Venetian language and culture. For many years she has taken a small group of a maximum of 4 students. Since Venice is a difficult place to visit as a tourist, with Nelly, one has the opportunity to feel part of the city-life and meet other Venetians.

TESTIMONIALS
“Venice enchants, but it is also not the easiest city to get to know. So, what a pleasure it was to be there with Nelly, a true Venetian. I have been to Venice twice before, but never before did I have such an intimate encounter with the city. We had a chance to meet real people living there, practice our Italian, and experience the city as a living entity, not just as a tourist destination or a museum.” (Ned)
“Learning Italian with Nelly while exploring the back streets and canals of Venice was incredibly fun. It also made the process much more real, much more immediate, than can happen in a classroom. My listening comprehension and speaking ability improved tremendously. And what better way to study than while enjoying an espresso at a Venetian cafe, people-watching across the camp? I highly recommend Nelly’s program.” (Katsuyo)
“Exploring Venice with Nelly is an incredible privilege. She knows the jewels and secrets off-the-beaten-track, giving insight to beautiful lesser-known sites, also who was/is intriguing, with whom, where and why. Nelly and her friends open up the city and the Veneto personally and enthusiastically. This is the way to visit Venezia!” (Willow)
“A trip to Venice with Nelly is like no other experience. Thank you, Nelly, for my third adventure in Venice! Nelly found me a charming and comfortable apartment, in my favorite part of town, and with centuries-old glass windows! I was very happy to visit yet new places during this, my third trip: churches and palaces, a wonderful variety of restaurants (real Venetian, vegetarian, old favorites), and locations from Nelly’s childhood. Nelly reveals the true Venice of the Venetians. We visited quiet neighborhoods, secret courtyards, and history locations that were free of the masses of tourists crowding Piazza San Marco. Nelly, thank you so much for the introductions to all your friends in Venice! It was wonderful to revisit old friends, and to make new ones. When I left, the water taxi cruised past the Questura, a last thought of Brunetti. For me, Venice is always a magical dream, and Nelly makes it so!” (Monika)
“As for the trips to Venice, who wouldn’t want to tour the city with someone who grew up near the home of Marco Polo?” (Sylvia)
